I love looking at old photos of my hometown. And, I love photography. So I decided to combine them in an ongoing project that I'm calling the "Past & Present Project" for Greene County, PA starting with Waynesburg. You may have seen these types of photos before but I'm trying to take it a step further by deconstructing the original photo to see how it was shot. From there, I do my best to get the same angle, same perspective, focal length of lens, and even trying to stand in the exact same spot as the original photographer. Be sure to visit them all when your done with these: Part 1 , Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7 & Part 8 Be sure to visit them all when your done with these:

I can’t thank you enough for sharing these. I spent the first seven years of my life in Greene County and we visited Waynesburg every Saturday of my life. I once got lost in the 5 and 10 and my Grandpa Morris Fox came to my rescue!

The man on horseback in the Mickey'so shirt shop picture looks like my great grandfather, T. G. Phillips. Would you have any way of finding out who it is ?
