I love looking at old photos of my hometown. And, I love photography. So I decided to combine them in an ongoing project that I'm calling the "Past & Present Project" for Greene County, PA starting with Waynesburg. You may have seen these types of photos before but I'm trying to take it a step further by deconstructing the original photo to see how it was shot. From there, I do my best to get the same angle, same perspective, focal length of lens, and even trying to stand in the exact same spot as the original photographer. This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen, it’s wonderful to be able to look back! And also interesting how little has changed, a testament to the early builders. I really love it! Mesmerizing!

Am really enjoying these pictures. Am not sure, however, about #7. Levine's Furniture Store was on the other side of the street, east of the Blair Hotel. Was Levine's on the south side of High Street at one time?
